Now Sold: This is our Mallard Green Automatic Stag. I purchased the car after it had been in dry storage for several years and the bodywork is extremely sound. Only the front panel and radiator support panel have been replaced but the paint had faded badly so as you can see from the pictures we have flatted the paint back, primered the car and painted it in its original colour. The interior is in very good order but it is black,it is in good condition and could be refitted but I do have a very good dark brown interior and I think this would contrast with the paint colour better but the choice is yours. The hood will have to be replaced because it has shrunk badly either in black as original but of the brown interior was chosen I thins a brown hood would look better. The chromework is all OK and will be cleaned up and refitted. At present she is on steel wheels but if required a set of refurbished Alloys could be fitted. The engine due to storage had seized and I have now removed it and am in the process of carrying out a full rebuild. Before it is refitted with its rebuilt auto box a manual transmission with overdrive could be fitted if this is preferred. At the same time all water hoses will be replaced, new uprated radiator, electronic ignition etc., will be fitted. For safety sake the brakes will be fully rebuilt with new or reconditioned units and a new MOT will be issued. The car has interesting history and has not covered an excessive mileage. When finished the price range will be in the region of 14/15 thousand but any extras you may require can be fitted at cost.
